Ospedale delle Bambole

Ospedale delle bambole translates to doll hospital in Italian.
I was fascinated by this storefront, on my recent trip to Rome with my kids. And they thought it was pretty cool as well.
Located on Via Repetta near Piazza del Popolo, you would miss it if you weren’t looking for it. Restauri Artistici Squatriti repairs broken porcelain dolls and other precious items in their tiny shop.
Unfortunately they weren’t open when we were there. But the views into the windows were well worth the visit.
Reminds me of the “I Spy” books we read when my kids were little.
Wonderfully eerie and beautiful.
